Description

Summary
The Theatre Manager is responsible for all aspects of theatre operation. As a representative of Coming Attractions Theatres, Inc., the Manager must be knowledgeable of company policy and procedure and to be able to implement these effectively. It is the responsibility of the Manager to ensure the safety of patrons and workers by following safety designated procedures. The Manager maintains positive customer and staff relations. Assist and/or fill-in in absence of the General Manager. Must be 18 years old or older and complete a background check prior to hire or promotion. This is a key holder position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains high level of customer satisfaction to meet Coming Attractions Theatres standards
  2. Oversees operation and maintenance of theatre and equipment, and conducts safety inspections
  3. Supervises, schedules, evaluates, hires/terminates staff
  4. Schedules and conducts training and safety meetings
  5. Introduces, implements and enforces company policy
  6. Supervises and trains Assistant Manager
  7. Supervises janitorial staff and conducts janitorial theatre inspections
  8. Makes accurate bank deposits and is responsible for petty cash funds
  9. Responsible for complete and accurate box office reports
  10. Makes accurate and detailed incident/accident reports as necessary
  11. Responsible for advertising: trailers, banners, standees, marquee, checking website and phone recordings
  12. Responsible for concessions inventory control
  13. Clearly interfaces with Home Office in a timely manner

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for other duties as assigned by General Manager and/or Home Office and available to handle emergency situations at the theatre in the absence of the General Manager.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as; operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have be self-motivated, organized, honest and reliable, dependable, a problem solver, be positive in customer and staff relations and have knowledge of computers; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work for this position is performed mainly inside the movie theatre. The position requires routine walking, standing, bending, twisting and carrying items weighing no more than fifty pounds. This position requires availability nights, weekends and holidays.
