A Records Management Technician handles complex requests for managing both semi-active and inactive records & information of all Comptroller and Board of County Commissioner's records. A Records Management Technician plans and coordinates special projects associated with the access, usage, digitization, and disposition of records. Work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant Manager.
Representative Duties Plans for and oversees the receipt, storage, and transfer of records for active/inactive storage.
- Transports records from various county departments, in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepares work requests, handles records inventories, and maintains county agency's functional file folders.
- Maintains control correspondence for records leaving and entering the records management database system.
Oversees maintenance and operation of records management equipment.
Handles and performs all disposition needs for the department, including following procedures for all document shredding with PI (Private information) and PHI (Private Health Information) to satisfy HIPPA law and RIM best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
