Description

Ridge Kids Room Leader (approx. 5 hours on Sunday - 8:00am to 12:30pm)

Reports to: Ridge Kids Director

Hourly Rate: $13.00/hr.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

 

The Ridge Kids Room Leader will have a specialized role that will allow a person to use their gifts to lead a room of children while developing volunteers and growing our team. This person will only be present on Sundays for both services, and will be assigned a specific age group. All materials will be prepped for each room upon your arrival.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a nursery, preschool, or elementary aged room
  • Equip volunteers to assist
  • Help recruit volunteers
  • Occasionally lead huddles
  • Build personal relationships with the children and families who are a part of your room (i.e. learning and remembering names, praying for specific things when asked, etc).
  • Be available to work most Sundays
 

Serve on the overall The Ridge staff team which includes:

  • Act as an ambassador for The Ridge by positively reflecting the vision, mission, strategy and values to those inside and outside our walls.
  • Be able to assess and advise attendees and volunteers as to how and where they can take their next steps towards God and within the ministry.
  • Attend training events or other meetings that relate to your role (paid time).
  • Actively engage in the life of The Ridge by gathering, connecting, serving, giving, and inviting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
