Job Title: Ride Operator


Position Summary

Ride Operators are responsible for ensuring a safe, fun, and exciting go-kart racing experience for all guests. This role is highly interactive and safety-focused, combining customer service, operational awareness, and teamwork. Ride Operators serve as the frontline ambassadors of the entertainment center, creating memorable experiences while enforcing safety standards and maintaining smooth track operations.


Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Customer Service

  • Greet guests warmly and create an energetic, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Explain go-kart rules, safety procedures, and racing guidelines clearly and confidently.
  • Assist guests with questions, concerns, or special needs in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Help ensure all guests-kids, teens, and adults-feel comfortable, safe, and excited to race.

Safety & Race Operations

  • Enforce all track safety rules consistently and professionally.
  • Properly fit and distribute helmets and other required safety gear.
  • Monitor the track during races to identify unsafe behavior, collisions, or mechanical issues.
  • Use track control systems, flags, radios, or signals to manage races and respond to incidents.
  • Safely stop races when necessary and assist guests exiting karts.

Kart & Track Oversight

  • Perform basic pre- and post-race inspections of karts to ensure safe operation.
  • Report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns to management or maintenance staff.
  • Assist with moving, parking, charging, or staging karts as required.
  • Keep the track area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with other Track Attendants, Guest Services, and Management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates during races and busy periods.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

Facility Standards

  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the track, pit, and guest areas.
  • Support opening, closing, and shift transition duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the family-friendly values and standards of the entertainment center.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High-energy, positive attitude with a passion for guest interaction
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety rules and enforce them consistently
  • Dependable, punctual, well groomed and team-oriented
  • Previous customer service, recreation, or entertainment experience is a plus (but not required)

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or push up to 75 lbs (as applicable)
  • Comfortable working in a loud, high-energy environment
