Job description

Currently seeking candidates for a full-time position as aSoftware Engineer. This position will provide support at a client facility in theChantilly, VAarea. The role involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing technical information from multiple sources to drive client missions and quick-turn tasks in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities
  • Aid in the design and implementation of machine learning and data engineering techniques for application to advanced client missions in science and technology (S&T) fields.
  • C/C++ development that supports critical customer missions
  • Applying concepts from newer compiled languages such as Go, or Rust to embedded development.
  • Developing for real time operating systems (RTOS) and interesting embedded systems.
  • Applying understanding of software development to the analysis of compiled custom operating systems by learning reverse engineering principles.
  • Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment while working independently and leading tasks on time and on budget.
  • Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of tailored software applications to provide advanced solutions supporting diverse business areas.
  • Provide data analysis and modeling to include the physical and logical design of databases
  • Support the design and delivery of reports, stored procedures and queries to meet project requirements
  • Translate user-requirements into concepts for information system solutions to be implemented by functional teams
  • Contribute to and participate in testing of delivered software solutions
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or related field with (3+) years of experience, or master’s degree in related field with (1+) year of experience, or Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • Experience in full-stack software development with significant programming experience in C#, C++, and/or Java.
  • Professional development experience using JavaScript or one of its derivatives.
  • Experience in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database technology.
  • Ability to learn and understand new programing languages, design patterns, operating systems, and deployment environments (i.e. Azure, AWS, and physical hardware).
  • Experience in national security, defense, and/or intelligence communities.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
