Job description

Winpak Films is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our dynamic team in Senoia, Georgia. Reporting to the QA Supervisor, you will play a key role in testing and inspecting returns, identifying root causes for defects, and developing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. You will work collaboratively with the QA team and production staff to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform safety checks and follow safe work procedures while complying with company policies.
• Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with established procedures.
• Investigate non-conforming material placed on hold and assist in making decisions regarding material disposition.
• Participate in process improvement activities and implement statistical quality methods.
• Conduct routine lab tests related to customer complaints and complete investigation reports.
• Develop and revise standard operating procedures and forms to support corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and Safe Quality Food standards.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma (required); technical education or degree is a plus.
• Two years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methods, including SPC, Six Sigma, or TQM (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a manufacturing or plastics environment, specifically in a quality-related role.
• Experience with complaint follow-up and corrective/preventive action procedures.
• ISO 9001 certification or experience in quality systems is a plus.
• Experience with testing equipment and lab procedures is a plus.
Additional Details:
• • This position is for day shift which is 7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday
