Job description

Job Summary
The Global HR Business Partner, Health & Biosciences Operations, Quality & Customer Service serves as the senior HR partner to the SVP, H&B Operations and the SVP, H&B Quality & Customer Service, supporting leadership teams accountable for approximately 2,000 employees globally.
As a trusted partner to senior leaders, this role shapes and executes talent and organizational strategies that enable business performance, strengthen leadership capability, and build the workforce needed to support H&B's growth objectives. Partnering closely with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence, the Director drives workforce planning, succession management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives.
The role also plays a key part in fostering a culture that reflects IFF's values and leadership expectations, helping create competitive advantage through strong leadership, organizational capability, innovation, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serve as the primary strategic talent partner to the SVP, H&B Operations and the SVP, H&B Quality & Customer Service.
  • Align talent priorities with business objectives through workforce planning, organization design, and succession strategies.
  • Utilize workforce and talent insights to identify opportunities, risks, and future capability needs.
  • Influence organizational culture and leadership effectiveness in alignment with IFF values and leadership expectations.

Talent, Leadership & Organization Effectiveness
  • Lead talent reviews, succession planning, leadership assessment, and development planning across supported functions.
  • Build strong pipelines for critical leadership, technical, quality, customer service, and operations roles.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives that improve business performance, agility, and scalability.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, develop, and accelerate high-potential talent.
  • Champion adoption of the IFF Leadership Capabilities through talent management, succession planning, and leadership development processes.

Change Leadership
  • Coach senior leaders on talent, leadership effectiveness, team performance, and organizational health.
  • Lead the people aspects of significant organizational and business transformation initiatives.
  • Develop change management and stakeholder engagement strategies that support successful execution of business priorities.

Global Leadership & Collaboration
  • Partner effectively across global regions, cultures, and functions.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, HR partners, and Centers of Excellence.
  • Participate in meetings across multiple time zones and travel internationally as business needs require.

Success Measures
  • Strong succession health and diverse leadership pipelines across supported functions.
  • Increased internal mobility and promotion rates for key leadership and technical roles.
  • Improved leadership capability and adoption of IFF Leadership Capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in a global organization; biotech or operations-focused experience preferred.
  • Expertise in talent management, succession planning, leadership development, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, operations, quality, customer service, or similarly complex business environments.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and driving organizational change.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures within a matrixed organization.
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally and support a global workforce across multiple time zones.
  • Preferred locations for this position: Wilmington, DE, United States; Madison, WI, United States; Leiden, The Netherlands.

Position will be required to be on-site 3 to 4 days per week, when not traveling for IFF.
