The School of Nursing at the University of Virginia is seeking School of Nursing Students to work in the Mary Morton Parsons Clinical Simulation Learning Center. The Student Lab Position will assist the Clinical Simulation Learning Center Director with the day-to-day operation of the simulation center.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Open the lab for usage by various student groups (unlock doors, welcome participants)
- Review CSLC Schedule for the day
- Assist students and faculty with resources
- Remind students to sign in and sign out
- Provide tours for guests and visitors
- Answer phone and take messages
- Inventory and stock support supplies
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the simulation environment
- Provide administrative support when needed
- Play a standardized patient when needed
- Closing the lab and cleaning up at the end of the day (linen, beds, restock carts, lock doors)
Attributes:
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous experience with patient simulation equipment preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology or experience in a health care setting required
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and attention to detail
Undergrad position for less than 20 hours per week
Compensation: $13.00 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Current undergrad UVA student in the School of Nursing
Attributes: Strong organizational skills. Previous experience with patient simulation equipment preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology or experience in a health care setting required. Excellent written and oral communications skills and attention to detail.
