As one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country, the Indiana State Park Inns proudly operates seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana. Each one offers a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!
Fort Harrison Inn is nestled on a scenic knoll within the serene Fort Harrison State Park in Lawrence, Indiana. The Inn features 28 guest rooms, the Harrison House, the Officer Homes, the Garrison Restaurant, banquet/conference space, and the Fort Golf Resort.
Role Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor responds to all General Maintenance service calls. Responsible for Life Safety standards, performing necessary tasks and demonstrating knowledge relating to hotel property maintenance. Evaluating maintenance with high quality standards and an exceptional guest service mindset.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the daily maintenance operations throughout the property by walk-through and visual inspections assessing the safe and efficient maintenance of the physical structure of the hotel, kitchen, restaurant, banquet, and dining areas.
  • Performs or directs basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms, and public spaces.
  • Maintains building by performing/directing basic repairs, carpentry, shoveling, clean-up work, snow-ice removal, plumbing, electrical wiring, painting, and related maintenance activities.
  • Prioritizes work orders through urgent requests or schedules work to minimize inconveniencing hotel/banquet/dining guests and coordinating those schedules with affected departments.
  • Inspects and maintains machinery and equipment for conformance with operations, optimizing the assets, and meeting safety standards.

Salary:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:
  • At the Indiana State Park Inns, success is based around teamwork, quality, integrity, loyalty, passion, friendliness, and safety. Indiana State Park Inns workers provide friendly customer service while ensuring the general upkeep of the Inns to provide guests with a high-quality experience. Overtime Eligible positions serve in the following areas:
  • Central Office - Located in downtown Indianapolis, central office positions aid in centralized leadership, human resources, finance, payroll, and administrative functions.
    • Positions may include: Administrative Assistants, Holiday Fulfillment Clerk
  • Management - These positions work at Inns properties to support day-to-day operations, ensuring superior guest satisfaction while maximizing hotel profitability.
    • Positions may include: HR/Account Coordinators, Sales Coordinators, Department Supervisors, Department Assistant Managers, Night Auditors, Special Projects Coordinators
  • Guest Services - These positions serve as front-line customer service to guests of the Inns by providing information, answering questions, resolving issues, and handling monetary responsibilities.
    • Positions may include: Store Attendants, Guest Services Agents
  • Food & Beverage Services - These positions work in the Inn's dining facilities to handle all dining room and banquet culinary services for guests.
    • Positions may include: Banquet Set-Up Workers, Cashiers/Hostesses/Bussers, Dishwashers, Café Attendants, Prep Workers
  • Housekeeping Services - These positions work to maintain a clean and orderly environment including in guest rooms, cabins, and common areas.
