Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that target both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions with a focus on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to design cohesive care approaches.
• Equip patients and their families with educational resources to support their progress beyond clinical appointments.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaborative efforts.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
