Job description

Softel Techsource LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Solution Architect to manage activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation. Assists domain architecture team on solutions management and timing of financial spend for application solutions. This resource needs to be highly technical, capable of understanding business drivers, and meeting aggressive timelines to perform the following duties:

Duties:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop system architectures that align with business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of the system architecture and collaborate with project management teams to improve the designs.
  • Ensure adherence to non-functional architecture standards, emphasizing integration, performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Directly assist in the development of a solutions architecture program including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to maintain system health, optimize performance, and ensure high availability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Assess business challenges to formulate a strategic solution vision, define requirements, explore alternatives, and develop an implementation roadmap.
  • Work closely on infrastructure planning for core and non-core systems across both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, GCP), including finalizing the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
  • Create and maintain technical design, deployment, and operational documentation.
  • Lead and guide development teams, ensuring best practices and architectural standards are followed.

This position does not have supervisory duties.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field that provided the required knowledge and abilities and five (5) years of post‑degree, progressive experience in any related positions that provided the required skills and abilities.

Must also have demonstrable experience and proficiency with the following tools, technologies, and procedures:

  • Python, Ruby, Shell Scripting
