This is a 60% relationship development / growth role and 40% service role, where your ability to build relationships, create opportunities, represent the organization professionally, and deliver an exceptional client experience will define your success.

The Role


Your primary responsibility is to:


Build, strengthen, service, and grow a national group insurance program.


You will work with an established book of business and warm relationship network while actively developing new opportunities through relationship-building, networking, client engagement, referrals, and program visibility.

Key Responsibilities


Relationship Development & Business Growth (Primary Focus)


  • Build and strengthen relationships with national group clients and members
  • Attend conferences, networking events, meetings, and industry functions
  • Represent the organization professionally in client-facing environments
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships and increase engagement
  • Develop trust naturally through conversations, relationship-building, and follow-up
  • Introduce additional solutions including:

  • Support warm business development initiatives and referrals within the existing network


Client Service & Relationship Management


  • Manage and support an existing portfolio of national group clients
  • Deliver proactive, high-touch client communication

Program Development Support


  • Contribute to the growth and refinement of a national program

What You Absolutely Must Bring


True Bilingual Fluency (English & French)


This role supports a French national program — fluency is mandatory.


You must be able to:


  • Communicate professionally in both languages (spoken and written)
  • Conduct meetings without translation tools
  • Build trust with French-speaking clients
  • Network and communicate confidently in both English and French environments


Licensing & Industry Experience


  • Life License (LLQP)
  • Other Than Life (OTL / General Insurance License)
  • Experience in Group Benefits, Insurance, Financial Services, or Relationship-Based Sales

Compensation & Environment


Josée Brisson Insurances Inc | The Co-operators offers a competitive and balanced compensation structure aligned with a relationship-driven growth role.


  • Base Salary: $75,000
  • Variable Compensation: $20,000 – $30,000, based on relationship growth, client retention, and business development within the program
  • Total Compensation: $95,000 – $105,000
  • 3 weeks paid time off (vacation + personal days)
  • Professional development and licensing support

Work Environment & Flexibility


This role is designed to be primarily in-office to support collaboration, relationship-building, team integration, training, and client engagement.


Candidates should expect to work in-office a minimum of three days per week as part of the normal structure of the role.
