Job Description The City of Dickinson is seeking committed and community-focused individuals to serve on the Civil Service Commission. It shall be the role of the Civil Service Commission, from time to time, to recommend to the Board of City Commissioners desirable amendments to the rules, regulations, and ordinances in Chapter 42. Purpose: The purpose of the civil service system is to increase the efficiency of the City government and to promote the fair treatment of municipal employees by providing a personnel system to govern the appointment, promotion, transfer, layoff, removal, and discipline of employees in the City's civil service.

Who We're Looking For: A resident of the City of Dickinson Someone with experience or interest in employee relations or public administration A thoughtful, analytical individual who values fiscal responsibility and public service Commitment & Compensation: The Committee meets quarterly (or as needed) Currently accepting applications for two-year appointed terms Members receive a $100 stipend per meeting attended
