Job description

Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for a detail-oriented, mission-driven Food Sourcing Coordinator to join our team. If you are passionate about hunger relief and possess strong operational and administrative skills, we want to hear from you!

The Role

As the Food Sourcing Coordinator, you will be the backbone of our Food Sourcing team, supporting both Procurement and Donation Acquisition. You'll ensure a steady flow of food to our neighbors by managing data, coordinating with vendors and donors, and tracking compliance. This is a dynamic role that blends office-based analytics with field-based relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Assist in managing the quantity and timing of food purchases using demand forecasts and historical data.

  • Vendor & Donor Relations: Support donor engagement, coordinate recognition activities (like thank-you letters and events), and assist with vendor bid requests.

  • Data & Compliance: Maintain accurate records in NetSuite (ERP) and CRM systems. Generate reports via MealConnect and track agency compliance regarding food safety and training.

  • Financial Coordination: Track expenses against budgets and coordinate invoices with the Finance team.

  • Field Work: Conduct site visits with donors and travel within our network (up to 90% of the time) to support program success.

What You Bring
  • Experience: At least 3 years in coordination, supply chain, procurement, or donor relations.

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Skills/Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/CRM software.ย Ability to work in varying climate conditions and a valid driver's license for frequent travel.ย Professionalism and empathy when interacting with vendors, donors, and partner agencies.

Job Conditions

This position requires flexibility to work in varying climate conditions and to travel within the network up to 90% of the time. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
