Forte Human Capital is seeking a Board-Certified (ABR) Radiation Oncologist to join our team at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. This opportunity allows you to provide exceptional cancer care to Veterans while working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment equipped with advanced radiation oncology technology.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive radiation oncology services, including:
- Patient consultations and evaluations
- CT simulation and treatment planning
- Treatment management and follow-up care
- Oversight of radiation therapy delivery
- Participation in tumor boards, peer review, and quality improvement activities
- Documentation in the VA electronic medical record
- Scheduled after-hours on-call coverage
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (ABR)
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
Required Experience
Candidates must have:
- Five (5) years of documented post-residency Radiation Oncology experience
- Three (3) years of continuous clinical practice within the past five (5) years
- Five (5) years of experience with:
- Radiation oncology consultations, CT simulation, treatment planning, treatment management, and follow-up
- Varian Edge Linear Accelerator (or equivalent)
- Eclipse Treatment Planning System
- ARIA Record & Verify System
- Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) with Cone Beam CT (TG-142)
- 2D/3D Conformal, IMRT/VMAT, SRS, SRT, and SBRT (TG-53)
- Three (3) years of experience with the Siemens SOMATOM go.Open Pro CT Simulator (or equivalent) following TG-66 standards
