Job Summary
The Graphic Artist position is responsible for supporting and promoting the brand through creative design and strategy. This individual will help provide high-end, conceptual design to further the development of the brand and marketing efforts for the University.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Print Specifications
Prepares print specifications and camera-ready art for all projects requiring printing. Works with copy center or vendors as necessary.
Projects
Correctly archives and documents all projects once complete and performs other duties as assigned.
Promotional Materials
Must be creative while still delivering a consistent "look" in the design, layout, artwork and color for all promotional materials including brochures, flyers, posters, logos, advertisements, T shirts, etc.
Brand Standards
Understands brand standards, makes decisions regarding brand guidelines and Identifies opportunities for branding consistency.
Marketing Standards
Ensure that all designs are properly aligned with Augusta University branding and marketing standards.
Develop
Ensure all design requests are well developed and completed
Project Management System
Uses project management system on a daily basis to document and track projects from beginning to end.
Other
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years related experience. A diverse portfolio of work that demonstrates design thinking and experience across multiple mediums, including digital and print.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Work well with others and be flexible in design strategies. Attention to detail while being able to see the "big picture."
KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of computer design tools using Adobe Creative suite programs such as in design, photoshop, and illustrator. Strong understanding of principles for photography, typography, layout, and color.
SKILLS
Understanding of core design elements such as type, contrast, alignment, proximity and layout.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Band: B7
Salary Range: $42,200/annually - $43,888/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
Recruitment Period: 6/24/26 - Until Filled
