Job description

Shawsheen Coating and Converting seeks a motivated and commercially driven Sales Account Executive to join our team in Andover, MA.

This customer-facing role will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned portfolio of accounts while developing qualified new-business opportunities. The Sales Account Executive will work closely with customers and internal teams to identify opportunities, advance projects, resolve roadblocks, and support continued company growth.

The ideal candidate is a proactive salesperson or account manager who brings strong relationship-building skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction. Candidates with three to five years of relevant experience are preferred, although exceptional early-career candidates with strong commercial potential will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with customer decision-makers and identify opportunities to expand existing business.
  • Develop qualified new-business opportunities through targeted outreach, market research, networking, and referrals.
  • Manage sales opportunities through discovery, quotation, sampling, evaluation, commercialization, and launch.
  • Support select strategic and high-value accounts alongside senior sales leadership.
  • Develop account plans, growth strategies, action items, and clearly defined next steps.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline information, forecasts, activity records, and customer documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations, proposals, product recommendations, and business reviews.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Quality, Product Development, and Marketing to meet customer needs and keep opportunities moving forward.
  • Identify risks, delays, and internal roadblocks before they affect customers or revenue.
  • Represent Shawsheen professionally during customer meetings, facility visits, trade shows, and industry events.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Shawsheen places significant value on the Sales Account Executive position by offering an annual base salary of $60,000–$85,000, depending on experience and demonstrated capability, along with a competitive benefits package.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three to five years of B2B sales, account management, or business-development experience preferred. Exceptional recent graduates and early-career candidates with strong commercial potential will also be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, private label, sporting goods, medical products, consumer products, or distribution is beneficial but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and manage opportunities through a sales process.
  • Strong prospecting, communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
  • Commercial judgment and the ability to understand customer needs, pricing considerations, and business value.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, urgency, and initiative.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Professional communication skills and presence.
  • Comfortable working in both professional office and manufacturing environments.
