Job description

The Industrial Machine / Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing day-to-to maintenance on all plant equipment including electrical and mechanical tasks as necessary. The Technician will maintain all equipment for the production operation.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Obtain/complete maintenance work order
  • Respond to emergencies identified by the shop and plant alarm system and/or physical plant supervisor
  • Perform miscellaneous duties deemed necessary to run the business
  • Repair and service all sewing and cutting equipment
  • Update and follow preventive maintenance schedules on equipment and keep logs updated
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and establish a reorder point
  • Establish good communications with outside contractor for equipment
  • Assist in development of new work flows and work centers

Qualifications Include:
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment and without direct supervision
  • Provide maintenance to forklift, air compressors and any other plant equipment
  • Maintain preventive maintenance program with all maintenance done up to date
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English, be mechanically inclined and able to work on various machines. Good communication and organization
