Job description

Crescent Textile Solutions, located in San Angelo, Texas, operates a large-scale industrial wool scouring plant in North America. The plant cleans and prepares thousands of pounds of raw, greasy fleece daily, removing lanolin and dirt for use across the broader textile industry. The industrial washing operation at the San Angelo uses large-scale machinery to clean raw wool through a highly controlled, step-by-step process.

The Maintenance Technician routinely performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of equipment used in the facility. This position also assists with maintaining parts inventory, organizing, and maintaining the maintenance shop, as well as inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions and breakdowns and performs repairs. This position must be able to take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and lifespan.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6 AM to 4 PM, Overtime as needed/required on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Completes routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoots maintenance issues on standardized equipment
  • Responds to production requests for immediate attention to production line breakdowns
  • Assists in maintaining the organization of the maintenance shop and adequate parts inventory
  • Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other departments, including production, warehouse, and quality, regarding the status of maintenance projects and needs
  • Participates in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods
  • Ensures plant is maintained and in accordance with housekeeping policies and guidelines
  • Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.
