Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Tutors' students individually or in scheduled group study sessions to review principles, solve problems, review for tests, and provide positive and constructive feedback.
- Facilitates reading, writing, and academic skills labs and workshops to develop writing, math, word processing, study, and other academic skills.
- Maintains and updates confidential files and records, ensuring that ethical and legal guidelines are maintained.
- Utilize learning materials, textbooks, software, and equipment to facilitate tutoring; may design specific handouts, study, and related materials in collaboration with academic departments.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated knowledge in subject field.
- Highly effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
