Job Description

Chief Engineer

We're searching forย Chief Engineerย to support the client's tactical and strategic approaches for mission and ways forward.

  • Collaborating on designs, able to assist with requirement deconstruction, and review work products to ensure sound technical solutions.ย 
  • Provide feedback to the team on the quality of solutions and recommend improvements or changes if required.
  • Work with ROU to provide competent technical leadership and responsible project direction through the successful performance of a variety of detailed, diverse elements of project management tasks.ย 
  • Collaborate with Unit Architect to ensure work products are aligned with the overall unit strategy.ย 
  • Direct completion of tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints, while interfacing with client counterparts when appropriate.
  • Collect requirements and turn them into designs and action plans for the team to execute.
  • Review technical capabilities for use with new requirements.
  • Understanding of firewalls, routing, switching and other telecommunications systems.
  • Integrate Cloud Provider services such as Virtual Private Servers (VPS), Dynamic DNS, and Web Hosting.ย 
  • Windows Environment Design, Linux Deployment and Integration with other Operating Systems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years with Bachelor's degree or 7 years with Master's Degree or 4 years with Ph.D., performing above referenced duties with the following recent hands-on experience;
  • VMware vCloud and Virtual Desktop products.ย 
  • Apple OSX experience.ย 
  • VPN technologies such as IPsec and SSL encrypted tunnels.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are critical.
  • Must be a US Citizen with TS/SCI.
  • Must have a Bachelor's or Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, and/or Network Administration from an accredited university/college.
