Personal Injury Legal Assistant
Rocky River, Ohio | Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. | $25/hour
Are you a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment? Do you enjoy being the backbone of a successful practice and keeping everything running seamlessly? If so, we're looking for you.
We're seeking a detail-driven Personal Injury Legal Assistant and Law Office Administrator who will play a vital role in supporting daily operations and ensuring our practice operates efficiently. This is a key position where the attorney will rely heavily on your expertise, precision, and initiative.
Technical Skills & Tools:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (including complex formulas)
  • Heavy daily use working with AI tools and modern legal research technologies
  • Knowledge and experience using legal platforms such as: MRO, Chartswap, Justice Bolt, MCS Direct, Records Imaging, and CIOX
  • Strong typing skills across both computer and typewriter
  • Skilled in using PDF editing/filling software for legal documentation

Job Requirements
Legal Knowledge & Experience:
  • Prior experience in plaintiff personal injury law
  • Working knowledge of the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Familiarity with:
    • Legal terminology and litigation processes
    • Court filings and procedural requirements
    • Discovery process and case management
  • Experience tracking statutes of limitations and case disposals
  • Understanding of IOLTA compliance and trust accounting

Legal Knowledge & Experience:
  • Meticulous attention to detail - accuracy is absolutely critical
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before they arise
  • Active Ohio Notary Public (or willingness to obtain

Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
