As a remote Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting scheduled counseling sessions with clients through video chat, fostering a supportive and safe environment for open discussion.
• Encouraging clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and life experiences to foster self-awareness and growth.
• Assisting clients in setting achievable therapeutic goals and tracking their progress throughout the treatment process.

Your client base will primarily consist of stable adults experiencing varying degrees of emotional and psychological challenges. Each client is thoroughly screened before being admitted to the platform, ensuring that you work with individuals who are seeking support and have lower acuity levels, allowing for focused and effective therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active and independent LCSW license to practice, free from any disciplinary actions or limitations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients effectively.
• Solid interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in interactions with clients.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in using digital platforms for therapy and documentation purposes.

While not required, additional experience or familiarity with telehealth practices, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) methodologies would be advantageous. A background in working with diverse populations and an understanding of different therapeutic modalities will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.
