Job description

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant. At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. Responsibilities: Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately Qualifications: Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus Requirements: Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below. Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.

Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays). Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays. Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.

Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it. New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.

New York: Not applicable. Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays) Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
