Job description

Honda of Boerne is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Title Clerk to manage all vehicle title, registration, and related documentation. This is a critical role that ensures deals are processed accurately and efficiently so customers receive their vehicles and paperwork on time.
You will work closely with the sales, F&I, and office teams while maintaining strong relationships with the DMV, lenders, and other agencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process all new and used vehicle titles, registrations, and related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and submit title applications, lien notations, and registration documents to the Texas DMV
  • Coordinate with lenders to secure titles, payoffs, and electronic title transfers
  • Verify deal jackets for completeness and accuracy before submission
  • Track title status and follow up on pending or rejected paperwork
  • Maintain organized digital and physical title files
  • Assist customers with title and registration questions and status updates
  • Ensure compliance with Texas DMV regulations and dealership policies
  • Support the office manager and F&I department with documentation as needed
  • Handle plates and related customer paperwork
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support smooth dealership operations

Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years of title clerk or dealership administrative experience preferred (automotive experience strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of vehicle title and registration processes (Texas DMV experience is a plus)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with sales and office teams
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and clean background check required
