Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

My Psychiatrist is a well-established multi-disciplinary outpatient mental health group practice. We are seeking Full-Time Licensed Psychologists with experience providing psychotherapy, psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments for our Falls Church location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose psychological disorders and provide evidence-based psychotherapy and consultations
  • Conduct diagnostic interviews and therapy sessions using evidence-based and brief therapeutic models
  • Conducts and documents initial psychological assessment of patients
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, includes initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes and all other necessary documentation
  • Provides psychotherapy using wide varieties of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-based therapy and more
  • Formulating and creating personalized interventions, treatments, and management plans for clients
  • Measuring the effectiveness of interventions and implementing changes where required
  • Maintains detailed documentation of services provided to permit administrative audit and meet documentation requirements.
  • Option to perform detailed and specific psycho diagnostic assessment, including psychological testing and psychological evaluations
  • Provide family support and crisis management services as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited Counseling or Psychology program
  • Licensed to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia or other states, or near completion of license
  • Experienced with online consultation and psychological assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems
  • Proficient with planning and performing psychological therapies, risk assessment & training
  • Ability to maintain and complete clinical documentation consistently and adhere to the statement of ethics and code of conduct as outlined by the service provider
