Warehouse Associate - Cylinder Handler (Summer Student) - Delta, BC (Starting Wage - $30.07 Hourly)

Primary Purpose:

The Cylinder Handler performs a variety of duties related to the loading, preparation, filling, and shipping of cylinders as required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Load / unload trucks confirming cylinder quantities, styles and product mix
  • This requires the shunting of trucks, the use of a forklift and proficiency in cylinder handling
  • Put away stock, count cylinder loads and warehouse housekeeping
  • Fill cylinders as required
  • Perform visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determine whether re-testing and /or repairs are necessary
  • Complete and maintain quality control documentation per company and governmental requirements
  • Meet established standards for productivity and quality

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Safety conscious and commitment
  • Enrolled in engineering program
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations 
  • Must be dependable and accountable (attendance and punctuality)
  • Able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
  • Able to operate and cylinder filling station and analytical equipment
  • Knowledge of gas cylinders
  • Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs

Working Environment:

  • Industrial plant production environment
