Job description

Starting Rate - $19/hour with $1/hour shift differential

SUMMARY: This position is responsible forperforming in-process physical property testing on materials or O-rings, receiving inspection, measurements of post cured materials and O-Rings, pressroom registration checks and first heat checks, quality verifications to ensure adherence to customer specifications and audit of end product going to customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform O-Ring dimensional checks using automatic and manual measuring equipment.

· Perform acceptance testing as outlined in the standards.

· Find and interpret specifications using the ERP system.

· Perform tool PMR evaluations. Certify daily first heat curing.

· Perform visual inspection of O-Ring to ensure acceptable product is being warehoused; and maintain related files.

· Approve and document approval in company’s ERP system.

· Perform receiving inspection.

· Perform testing on semi-finished compound materials.

· Perform testing on finished O-Rings.

· Perform other duties as required or requested.

· Provide training for areas they have been signed off as trainers in.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

· None

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Highschool diploma or equivalent and 1-year related experience in quality assurance preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Associate degree preferred)

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Basic Math skills; familiar with gauges, measuring equipment and O-Ring OEM and OAM standards for physical properties and visual acceptance.

· Working knowledge of SAP and Gainseeker, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and barcode scanning a plus.

· Must have annual eye exam.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work environment consists of manufacturing environment which may have exposure to noise, heat, smells, and chemicals.
  • Moderate noise level 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
  • Loud noise level up to 1/3 of the time.
