Job description

Morfologica is seeking several Software Testing Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers willing to support established teams of software production at various Federal Facilities throughout Northern Virginia.

ONLY CANDIDATES WITH AN ACTIVE GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCES AND APPROPRIATE POLYGRAPH WILL BE CONSIDERED.

The ideal candidate will develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization.

Duties will include development and execution of software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.ย  The candidate will also establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation.ย  Participation in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle is also required.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Conduct historical analyses of test results.
  • Conduct software compatibility tests.
  • Design or implement test plans,ย scripts, procedures and automated testing tools.
  • Define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoringย parameters.
  • Document test procedures.
  • Evaluate or recommend software for testing or bug tracking.
  • Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications.
  • Install and configure simulations of software environments to allow testing of softwareย performance.
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Provide feedback to developers on software usability and functionality.
