Job description

Job Title: Test Technician I

Department: Production

At TraffiCalm, we're dedicated to creating a safer world through advanced traffic safety solutions. Our products are at the intersection of technology and safety, and we’re in search of a, passionate Test Technician to help us bring the future of traffic safety to life.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts tests and inspections to evaluate the quality and performance of products and equipment
  • Interprets quality standards, engineering diagrams and product specifications, then executes tests accordingly
  • Uses Power supplies, Multi-meters, Oscilloscope’s and computer-generated test programs
  • Provides process feedback for continuous improvement
  • Alerts leads and management of quality trends of defective product
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment with attention to continuous flow and detail.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand Op Sheets and Production Flow
  • Experience in thru-hole and Surface Mount soldering or the ability to be trained
  • Ability to aid in the introduction of new assemblies in production
  • Ability follow all of MOR Manufacturing’s processes
  • Ability to suggest red-lines to OP sheets to Team Lead and Management.
  • Ability to follow all of MOR Manufacturing’s processes
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be humble, passionate about your job, and treat others with the greatest of respect

Education and Background

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Component ID Certification or ability to obtain

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Repetitive use of hands/motion and have manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and multi-limb coordination
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Use of required PPE.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing plant, non-controlled climate, mechanical equipment, moving objects, fumes, odors, dirt, and dust.  
  • Full-Time. Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM. Work schedule is subject to change. May require overtime based on business needs.
