Must Haves:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in relevant field (Engineering, Physics, Computer Science)
  • 1-5 years of experience within Validation Engineer (not pure development work but has experience with vehicle testing) or Infotainment background
  • Strong experience with programming (Python, JavaScript) & ability to read and analyze logs
  • Person must be well organized and a quick learner

Nice to haves:

  • Previous experience with Automation tests
  • Mobile app experience (remote key, climate scheduling, EV features, etc)

Day to Day:ย 

Insight Global is looking for a junior level validation test engineer with infotainment background. This individual will be supporting mobile app and automation features for one of our automotive customers in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are looking for someone who support on both the validation and automation side.

ย 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct system-level testing of mobile applications across various iOS and Android devices
  • Execute and manage a wide range of test cases and validation scenarios to ensure application quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate vehicle mobile applications
  • Review, analyze, and refine test cases to improve accuracy and effectiveness
  • Identify defects, document findings, and support issue resolution processes
  • Communicate testing results clearly through written reports and verbal updates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying gaps and recommending enhancements

  • Ensure high-quality launch of vehicle mobile applications
  • Support IDD in delivering reliable and user-ready mobile solutions

Compensation: $33/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
