What does a test THC specialist do?

A Test THC specialist is responsible for conducting laboratory tests to detect the presence and concentration of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive component in cannabis, in various samples such as blood, urine, or products. They use specialized equipment and follow strict protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results. Their work is important in fields like law enforcement, workplace safety, healthcare, and product quality assurance.

To thrive as a THC Testing Laboratory Technician, you need a solid background in chemistry, laboratory procedures, and attention to detail, usually supported by a relevant science degree or laboratory certification. Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous documentation, and effective communication set top technicians apart. These competencies ensure accurate results, regulatory compliance, and the safety of cannabis products in a highly regulated industry.
