Job Overview:

Primoris Distribution Services is a leading natural gas contractor specializing in the installation, maintenance, and support of distribution and transmission infrastructure. With over 36 years of operational experience. PDS provides services ranging from small to large-scale, multi-million-dollar distribution and transmission programs.

Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to our Project Managers that oversee natural gas distribution/transmission construction projects. This position is responsible for coordination across several departments, project documentation, tracking schedules/budgets, and supporting field personnel. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced utility construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Employees may perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Assist project managers and teams with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, copying, and scanning documents.
  • Coordinate job startup documentation, including permits, utility notifications, requesting 811 locate tickets, and client required documentation.
  • Prepare and process various project-related documents, such as purchase orders, invoices, expense reports, and change orders.
  • Assist with material procurement, equipment requests, and delivery coordination.
  • Maintain and organize project files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, and prepare meeting materials, including agendas and minutes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, field personnel, billers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients, to facilitate project flow.
  • Assist with the tracking of project progress, deadlines, and budgets, and report any discrepancies to the project manager.
  • Support project closeout by compiling as-built documentation, test records, restoration documentation, and completion reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project operations and administrative functions.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Open to all experience levels; training and mentorship available based on experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using Bluebeam PDF
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with construction industry terminology is a plus.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
