Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Seasonal Test Stand Operator reports to the Administrative Services Manager and is a temporary position for the grape harvest season. This position performs general test stand sampling of grape trucks by operating a mechanically assisted sampling probe or back-up manual probe. This position is also responsible for cleaning and sanitizing test stand and test stand equipment. Seasonal position from appx. July - October or November.

*Additional Stay Pay Bonus opportunity for staying the entire harvest season! *

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Sample grape trucks using sample probe.
  • Lifting heaving lug bins or buckets on conveyor for grape inspection.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing test stand and related equipment.
  • General housekeeping and cleaning tasks, to include sweeping, scooping up debris, washing of grounds or buildings, using power washer, and washing equipment.
  • This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 or older at the time of hire.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to work any shift, particularly graveyard for the first couple of months and day shift. thereafter with minimal supervision.
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels.
  • Ability to work outside and exposure to dry, wet, or humid conditions.
  • Exposed to inclement seasonal weather, summer heat, cold weather, rain.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and twisting in an outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies with equipment.

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly Pay Range Posted: $23.00/hr.
