Job description

The Quality Control Manager plays a critical role in overseeing quality assurance processes, inspections, and compliance within the aviation industry. This position demands a thorough understanding of FAA regulations, quality management systems, and aircraft component quality control procedures. The manager leads efforts to ensure products and services meet stringent quality, performance, and safety standards by developing and implementing robust quality systems, policies, and tests. Responsibilities

  • Lead the QC & QA team to ensure consistent quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, enforce, and maintain quality control procedures, manuals, and policies.
  • Inspect and test raw materials, components, and finished products using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications to verify conformity and identify defects.
  • Document quality data, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Manage and maintain the ACA PMA program and support FAA application approvals.
  • Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) such as Odoo.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including PPE usage.
  • Conduct final product inspections prior to distribution to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Generate reports on inspection findings, defect rates, and quality actions taken.
  • Provide training development and monitor staff compliance with regulations.

Preferred Qualifications: must have experience in aviation quality control.
