Job description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer with demonstrated expertise supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in the testing, engineering, and system management and administration of new DoD systems. The Test and Evaluation Engineer must have an excellent understanding of, and experience in test and evaluation, specifically with an Operational Test Agency. He/she should have knowledge of the system development life cycle, including system definition, development, design, analysis and control, integration, and testing. He/she should have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at supporting engineering and integration efforts that are associated with test and evaluation of military systems. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Responsibilities * Assist in the development of Test and Evaluation plans
* Provide systems engineering support for the system development life cycle, including system definition, development, design, analysis and control, integration, and testing
* Provide technical expertise during programmatic events such as Technical Reviews, Status Meetings,
* Technical Interchange Meetings, Requirements Working Group Sessions, Test Working Group Sessions, Configuration Control Board Meetings, and Interface Control Board Meetings Qualifications * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Six years of professional experience may be substituted for degree.
* Three (3) years of professional experience
* Active DoD Secret Clearance required
* Thorough understanding of both developmental and operational testing. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
