About the Role


Advanced Wireless Communications (AWC) is seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Test Engineering Technician to support validation and verification activities within our Engineering team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of our electronic hardware products.

The primary focus of this position is the evaluation and testing of rechargeable battery packs and battery charging systems, including electrical performance, safety, environmental behavior, durability, and lifecycle characteristics. As our product portfolio evolves, this role may also support testing of additional electronic hardware platforms.


What You'll Do

  • Execute standardized internal test suites to support product development and validation
  • Set up test configurations and operate laboratory equipment to capture electrical, thermal, and functional measurements
  • Perform electrical, thermal, and mechanical evaluations to characterize hardware behavior
  • Record, organize, and document test measurements and observations for Engineering and Product Management review
  • Maintain traceability between test data, test conditions, hardware configurations, and reported results
  • Support safe handling and testing of hardware in accordance with lab procedures and best practices
  • Assist engineering teams with troubleshooting, test setup refinement, and validation of design changes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing teams
  • Create and review product-focused technical documentation to support release deliverables
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test methods, fixtures, documentation, and lab workflows


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline

Experience

  • Hands-on experience supporting engineering test and evaluation of electronic hardware products
  • Experience testing rechargeable batteries and charging systems using electrical, thermal, and functional methods
  • Familiarity with rechargeable battery chemistries, charging systems, and applicable safety standards

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with laboratory test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and temperature probes
  • Experience executing test plans and standardized test suites in an engineering or development environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and components
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and sound technical judgment

Documentation & Communication

  • Experience contributing to technical documentation such as test reports, user guides, or product documentation
  • Ability to accurately record, organize, and present test data in structured engineering documentation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
