  • Design, develop, implement, and document manual, automated, and semi-automated production test procedures for electronic, electromechanical, pneumatic, and building automation products.
  • Develop test requirements, acceptance criteria, and test cases from engineering specifications, controlled drawings, bills of material, product requirements, and quality standards.
  • Verify product functionality, electrical performance, communication, sensor accuracy, actuator operation, output performance, and other applicable product requirements.
  • Support production testing of BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet, wireless, and other communication technologies incorporated into KMC Controls products.

  • Participate in design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, process risk assessments, and new product introduction activities.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing test procedures, validation reports, engineering studies, work instructions, and records required by the ISO 9001 quality management system.
  • Analyze production test data, first‑pass yield, scrap, rework, defect trends, and process capability to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Verify the accuracy, repeatability, reproducibility, and reliability of production test equipment and inspection methods.
  • Maintain production test equipment, fixtures, calibration records, test environments, and related technical documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on testing efficiency, automation, quality, safety, throughput, and manufacturing reliability.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Production to support product launches, process changes, equipment qualification, and operator training.
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing investigations, returned‑product evaluations, and customer issue resolution when production or testing concerns are suspected.
  • Stay current on manufacturing test methods, automated testing technologies, statistical tools, electronics manufacturing practices, and building automation technologies.
  • The responsibility and authority to stop or elevate any manufacturing or testing activity that could compromise product quality, employee safety, regulatory compliance, or customer satisfaction.
