Description
The Associate Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects with a strong focus on engineering, product development, and manufacturing initiatives. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational
engineering knowledge or exposure with project management skills in a manufacturing environment.
The role partners closely with engineering, operations, quality, and business stakeholders to maintain project momentum, track deliverables, manage schedules, and facilitate communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the execution of engineering, product development, and manufacturing projects by coordinating schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Assist in maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, risk logs, and action item tracking.
• Participate in cross-functional project meetings and document meeting notes, decisions, and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or schedule impacts, and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare project status reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
• Support change management activities, including scope updates and documentation control.
• Assist with project closeout activities, including lessons learned and final documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, engineering support, or related roles.
• Basic understanding of engineering or product development processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred qualifications:
• Exposure to manufacturing, medical device, or regulated industry environments.
• Experience supporting engineers or engineering project teams.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Power Automate, or similar.
• Exposure to test protocols, engineering change documentation, or business proposals.
• CAPM® certification or formal project management training (or willingness to pursue).
• Internship or co-op experience in engineering, operations, or project coordination.
Physical / Mental Demands:
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment with no abnormal risks or hazards.
• Work may require weekend and evening work.
• Work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be alert, able to concentrate, and use good judgment.
