Job Responsibilities:
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team. The role requires a basic understanding of computer vision and machine learning technologies, especially for industrial applications like defect detection, 3D reconstruction, quality assurance, and process optimization. Knowledge of Python programming languages is expected. Additionally, knowledge of relevant mathematics, statistics, machine learning techniques, data pipelines, and software development workflows is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will:
• Perform and present data analysis results based on requests of supervisors.
• Create data/machine learning pipeline in one of the popular cloud platforms.
• Participate in development and improvement of a software solution.
• Test and evaluate the developed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Co-op student of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer engineering/science, or equivalent engineering, math or science discipline.
• Strong Python programming experience is required.
• Familiarity with Deep Learning (TensorFlow or PyTorch) required
• Familiarity with cloud platforms preferred.
• Experience with software development process preferred.
• Experience in computer vision tasks like image classification, object detection, or semantic segmentation, 3D reconstruction is a plus.
• Experience with ROS2 preferred.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Currently attending University (min. 3rd year), seeking co-op year
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work on complex engineering systems with creative ways.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
• The candidate may be exposed to the automotive manufacturing environment.
