Job description

Position: Electronics Test Technician

Compensation: $24 - 32 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Overland Park, Kansas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electronics Test Technician to join their team!

This is a strong contract opportunity for a hands-on electronics professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and working with a collaborative technical team. You’ll support production testing, repair, and component-level diagnostics on avionics and RF-related equipment, with the chance to grow your expertise in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment to component level
  • Diagnose root causes of failures and perform targeted rework
  • Retest repaired units to production acceptance standards
  • Review BOMs, work orders, wiring charts, and engineering drawings
  • Perform digital, analog, and RF circuit testing
  • Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal analyzers
  • Document all testing and repair activity accurately
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on product issues
  • Balance troubleshooting time with board value and repair cost

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Knowledge of electronic theory and circuit fundamentals
  • Experience using electronic test equipment
  • Ability to read resistors, transistors, symbols, and schematics
  • Comfort working on component-level troubleshooting and repair
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred
  • Two years of digital, analog, and RF repair experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with avionics equipment
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
  • Knowledge of IPC-7711/7721 workmanship standards
  • Experience with RF circuit theory
  • Background in navigation aids or surveillance radios
  • Exposure to engineering drawings and technical documentation
