Job description

Electronic Technician I
Contract with option to hire (they want a person that will become a full time direct employee)

SUMMARY:
The position requires operation of assorted electronic test equipment and a basic understanding of flow meter calibration to enable the person to adjust, scale, and program complex electronic systems to specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Calibrate and program microprocessor controlled electronic equipment using personal computers.
  • Program flow computers using front panel keyboard entry of downloaded software.
  • Assemble electronic enclosures and system test electronics mated or paired with flow meters.
  • Make modifications to existing boards from engineering drawings or diagrams with guidance from an Electronics Technician II or Engineering.
  • Test and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits to component level.
  • Install and solder components onto circuit boards.
  • Mix and use potting compounds, conformance coatings, etc., as required by drawings and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • A.S. Degree in Electronics or equivalent
  • One to three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification to IPC-J-STD-001 desired
  • The #1 skill set would be familiarity with how to use the various electronics programming equipment - o'scopes, multimeters, decade boxes, etc
