Job description

Position Summary

BRC is seeking a Test Engineer to support planning, preparation, execution, and documentation of testing activities within our Research Test Center (RTC). This role works closely with engineers and consultants to execute testing projects, collect and analyze data, maintain testing equipment, and ensure accurate documentation of test results.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, consultants, and technical staff to ensure testing equipment is properly prepared and calibrated, testing events are safely executed, and accurate data and documentation are collected and preserved.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Support setup, execution, and closeout of testing events.
  • Prepare and maintain testing equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Collect, document, and archive test data and evidence
  • Assist with fabrication, assembly, instrumentation, and test setup activities.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and project teams to support client and project requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor''s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with instrumentation, sensors, testing systems, or data acquisition technologies.
  • Working knowledge of National Instruments technologies, including LabVIEW and DIAdem.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Preferred

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in testing, manufacturing, fabrication, instrumentation, or related technical environments.
  • Hands-on fabrication, assembly, and shop experience.
