ABOUT THE ROLE

Albert Uster Imports is seeking a Distribution Center Driverย to join our team!

The Company is looking for someone who will contribute to a positive Company culture by maintaining an upbeat, cooperative morale and exhibiting a "can-do" attitude. Alber Uster Imports is a service driven Company where delivering on-time, complete and error-free orders is critical to the long-term success of the organization. This individual well report to the Distribution Center Manager who will determine the hours and shift. General Warehouse shifts fall between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

SHIFT: 4 days week, 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the accurate & timely picking, packing, and shipping of daily parcel orders via FedEx and UPS
  • Accurately stage and palletize outbound LTL shipments
  • Adhere to the established food safety compliance, quality control procedures and ensuring all shipments are expedited according to the customer requirements (order quantity, correct item(s), shipping method, use of appropriate packaging materials, box sizes, etc.)
  • Expediting all parcel shipments on a First-In-First-Out basis. Exception: Rush orders and other special requests
  • Accountable for maintaining a sanitary, clean and organized warehouse including but not limited to the samples and repack stations, shipping workstations and product aisles as directed by the Warehouse Team Lead
  • Receiving inbound shipments according to Company standard operating procedure
  • Put away products in correct locations and according to strict First-In-First-Out (FIFO) rules
  • Participate in bi-weekly inventory cycle counts
  • Repacking and labeling products
  • Deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner
  • Load and unload vehicle
  • Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSย 

  • 2+ years of warehouse experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in delivery driving required
  • Forklift experience and certification are preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment assessment test
  • Display a positive, respectful team-oriented attitude to achieve the Operations team quality control objectives
  • Communicate effectively with all teams with respect to any customer and/or inventory related issues
  • Demonstrate safe working practices at all times
  • Excellent attendance
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good manual dexterity with ability to move quickly
  • Ability to speak, write and read English
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis. Up to 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift
  • Basic computer competency - email, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must pass a pre-employment assessment test

SALARY RANGE

Albert Uster Imports hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways AUI does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $24.00 an hour.

This role will be bonus eligible.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
