General Manager/Global Operations Director - Semiconductor Equipment Engineering and R&D
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the overall project delivery ownership in US including business targets. Support business planning, Business/Technical presentation to customers. Align to the Global Vision/Business plan for next three years, build required technical team and capability in US. Support Europe business needs as required. Establish Delivery team in GDC (Global Delivery Center) and at customer locations as required.
This position requires self-driven, motivated, leadership and collaboration in a highly matrix based organization including Sales/Account teams, Consulting, Engineering and R&D groups. The position will require travel to customer locations and to India delivery centers as required.
Experience:
Strong understanding of the Fab process for chip manufacturing in areas of Implantation, CVD, PVD, Metrology, Photolithography etc.,
Hands-on experience in Semiconductor equipment design.
Experience of Fab requirement for various processes of Chip manufacturing.
Experience in building and leading large team of people to execute design, manufacture, testing certification and installation of equipment.
Preferred candidate will have experience in interacting directly with clients including Senior Business Executives, Engineering Directors, Leaders and Stakeholders.
Strong leadership, inter-personal skills and proven results in the past is a must.
Ability to work with India team to deliver and exceed customer expectations.
In addition, the candidate must have the following qualifications.
Strong customer-facing skills including : communication (written and oral), presentation, financial and business skills.
Ability to foster strong bonds and working partnerships with client-facing HCL teams.
Strong leadership skills and self-motivated.
Ability to articulate business value and consultative selling approach.
Implantation, CVD, PVD, Metrology expertise with Mechanical, Hardware, software and Services knowledge and experience needed to support business solutions.
Ability to work in a matrix environment, as well as operate independently while supporting and building a successful sales pipeline.
Experience in developing business proposals and/or delivering service deals.
Experience in deploying/delivering transformation projects and/or highly technical Design to Prototype solutions for Implanters, CVD, PVD, Metrology and Photolithography.
Required
Graduate from a reputed School/University (IIT OR reputed US university)
At least 10 years of experience in Mechanical and/or Semiconductor, Semiconductor Equipment manufacturing with new product development for 200/300mm wafer equipment
At least 5 years of experience in a corporate and/or sales and marketing and/or supply chain/distribution environment.
English: Spoken and written
Candidate required to start with Sunnyvale/Boston-Quincy as primary location and later relocate to Rochester GDC
