As a key member of the maintenance organization, this role is responsible for improving the availability, reliability, and utilization of electrical and automation systems to support the production and shipment of high-quality steel products. The Senior Automation & Electrical Engineer will develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance steel manufacturing processes, optimize equipment performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position collaborates closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and other plant departments to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve technical challenges, and ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operations. The successful candidate will lead efforts to implement sustainable solutions that improve equipment reliability, process efficiency, and product quality while supporting rolling mills, steelmaking production, and maintenance operations within a highly automated steel manufacturing environment. ****Rocky Mountain Steel Mills is committed to maintaining and promoting a safe, healthy and injury-free environment.
