Description:

PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for providing loan service support by performing routine and intermediate duties in various areas in Loan Operations, including both Consumer and Commercial loans. Responsibilities include generating loan documentation for all types of loans, collateral tracking, document imaging, search requests, paid loan processing, insurance monitoring, customer notices, quality and assurance, and customer service as needed. This position reports to the Chief Loan Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Communicates with clients to request or provide information to prepare accurate loan and security documentation for new and renewed commercial loans in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with bank policy and procedure and Federal Regulations, all while maintaining good customer relations.

  1. Input/scans new and renewal loan documents and supporting documentation into Image Centre.
  2. Completes loan review / loan booking checklists as required. Reviews, images, and clears all loan collateral exceptions monitored in Teslar system.
  3. Responsible for monitoring collateral insurance, including general liability, hazard, and flood insurance, was well as force placing uninsured or underinsured collateral coverage.
  4. Verifies loan funding sheet information in Horizon, as well as funds loans.
  5. Prepares loan, security, and disclosure documents for all non-real estate loans in FIS FLO.
  6. Works with title companies and/or attorney’s office for loan documentation and closing. Performs pulls for various documents to support the loan requests such as credit reports, flood certifications, title and UCC searches.
  7. Complete training annually and adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations, which mandate procedures to detect and prevent money laundering activities within a financial institution; this could involve tasks such as customer due diligence, assistance in suspicious activity reporting (SAR), and recordkeeping compliance.
  8. Greets customers and answers phone.
  9. Processes consumer, commercial and real estate loan panets and advances on lines of credit.
  10. Continuously monitors, updates, and organizes new commercial loan files to ensure consistency, neatness, and completeness in accordance with bank and departmental policy, including assisting with periodic audits of the loan files to ensure there are no exceptions.
  11. Ensures loans are boarded in a timely manner on the loan system, notifying management of any delays as they are discovered. Does file maintenance as requested.
  12. Provides loan payoff quotes, processes paid loans, & prepares release of liens.
  13. Responsible for post-closing lien perfection including, but not limited to, UCC-1 filings, life insurance assignments, and vehicle/boat/home title work.
  14. Assists with training junior staff members as needed, & aids with updating and reviewing written procedures.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.




Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial loan processing or loan operations
  • Knowledge of compliance, state and federally regulated lending laws
  • Knowledge of loan documentation requirements for all types of loans
  • Experience in mortgage loan processing and consumer lending a plus
