Job Summary:
Tesla is a leading company in sustainable energy solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to enhance pricing systems for their Robotaxi business. The role involves designing and developing applications, managing pricing models, and leveraging AI for decision-making to support dynamic pricing strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and support applications and systems including building pricing tools for Robotaxi ride services, vehicles, Megapack, energy products, and service parts
• Design and manage pricing models and algorithms to implement systems that support dynamic and surge pricing, incorporating variables such as base costs, taxes, government fees, tolls, market demand, regional variations, and location specific factors
• Develop workflows that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI to improve decision-making, automate planning, and adapt to real-time operational constraints like market demand or traffic conditions
• Build data analytics pipelines to analyze ride sessions, costs, and competitors' prices to design recommendation systems for optimized pricing strategies
• Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code
• Write unit tests and integration tests and collaborate with QA to coordinate timely regression testing for new features
• Monitor live system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues
• Investigate and understand existing system technical functionality and propose technical improvements
• Communicate changes in project estimates, dependencies, and blockers with affected stakeholders quickly
• Work with technologies such as React, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, MySQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Redis, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes to build robust, scalable systems
Qualifications:
Required:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, proof of exceptional skills in related field, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of related practical experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in full stack development
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES5/6), HTML, CSS, and the React framework for building intuitive frontend interfaces
• Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture
• Expertise with databases, including MySQL for structured data management and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for search, indexing, and analytics
• Good unit testing and integration testing practices
• Flexible and motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and a strong desire to improve efficiency and scalability
• Experience writing code in programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Go
• Familiarity with AI integration, including LLMs for tasks like generating pricing insights and agentic AI workflows for adaptive user experiences
Preferred:
• Experience in the automotive, energy, or ride-hailing industries preferred
