Washington, D.C.

A leading healthcare organization in Washington DC area is currently looking for a Psychiatrist to fill an opening at emergency department for a major tertiary care center.  Academic affiliation and rank possible with Georgetown University.

Responsibilities of the Psychiatrist

ยท         Full-time and part-time position

ยท         Provide treatment to adult patients

ยท         Treat patients in outpatient setting

ยท         Flexible Hours โ€“ 7 days on/7days off model

ยท         Weekend call schedule 1:6

ยท         ED admissions

ยท         Perform Evaluations and Medical Checks medical and behavioral health units

ยท         Provide Education to patients, families, and the community

ยท         Perform other duties as required

Requirements of the Psychiatrist

ยท         MD or DO

ยท         Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program

ยท         Eligible for license for the practice of medicine in the State of District of Columbia

ยท         Board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry

ยท         Experience with EMR medical software
