In the wine industry, terroir selections help highlight the distinct flavors and qualities that come from a particular vineyard or region. We specialize in family-owned estates, responsible farming, and distinctive wines that reflect their place of origin. With statewide distribution, temperature-controlled warehousing, and refrigerated delivery, we are committed to protecting the integrity of every wine from the winery to the customer.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Italian Fine Wine Specialist** to expand our Italian portfolio throughout South Florida.

The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing sales and distribution of our Italian portfolio across leading restaurants, hotels, wine shops, private clubs, specialty retailers, and other key on- and off-premise accounts.
We are looking for someone who understands that successful fine wine sales require more than presenting products. This position calls for a professional who can build long-term customer relationships, develop meaningful placements, conduct staff education, create successful wine programs, and represent our producers with knowledge and credibility.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a focused sales strategy for Terroir Selections' Italian wine portfolio throughout South Florida.
* Build relationships with sommeliers, beverage directors, restaurant owners, wine buyers, retailers, hotel groups, private clubs, and other influential accounts.
* Expand business within existing accounts while actively opening qualified new accounts.
* Secure by-the-glass placements, wine-list placements, retail features, wine dinners, tastings, and other promotional opportunities.
* Present wines professionally and communicate the history, farming practices, terroir, winemaking methods, and commercial value of each producer.
* Conduct staff trainings, account tastings, supplier visits, and educational presentations.
* Work closely with winery representatives, suppliers, management, and the Terroir Selections sales team to develop the Italian category.
* Maintain an organized territory and a consistent schedule of account visits, follow-ups, prospecting, and sales activity.
* Monitor sales performance, account development, inventory availability, and placement opportunities.
* Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, expense reports, and other required information accurately and on time.
* Represent Terroir Selections professionally at trade events, supplier visits, portfolio tastings, wine dinners, and industry functions.
* Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, account-development, and distribution goals.
Required Qualifications
* A minimum of **five years of successful fine wine wholesale distribution experience**.
* Direct experience selling wine to established on- and off-premise accounts.
* Strong knowledge of Italian wine, including major regions, appellations, grape varieties, producers, vintages, and classifications.
* Existing relationships with key wine buyers and decision-makers in South Florida.
* A proven ability to open new accounts, expand existing business, and achieve sales goals.
* Professional presentation, communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
* Excellent organizational and territory-management abilities.
* Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a statewide sales team.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* A valid Florida driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and acceptable automobile insurance coverage.
* Ability to meet the requirements for a Florida Salesperson Beverage License.
* Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds.
Advanced wine certifications are valued but are not required. Proven industry experience, Italian wine knowledge, established customer relationships, and consistent sales performance will be the most important considerations.

* Base salary
* Commission on sales
* Performance-based bonus opportunities
* Benefits
* Approved business expenses
* Supplier education and opportunities to work directly with leading wine estates
* Significant potential for professional and financial growth
